Jack Johnson - Banana Pancakes (Kokua Festival 2010)
This calms me down... It's the best Jack Johnson song ever. mmm, yum.
Woah...
Today I was dropped of at my violin teacher's house to practice for my trio. On our way to the studio we started talking about whether I should learn viola or piano, and how I could start preparing for my college musical career. In my mind I started FREAKING OUT. I have been with my violin teacher since I was four years old. It's almost eleven years later and I'm still with her. This is frightening to me. And to add on to that... she says that this is the summer that she usually starts preparing her students for their college auditions. intense...
So I just need someone to tell me, where the heck does all this time go?!? I remember very clearly being four years old and clapping the rhythms in my music teacher's house. THIS IS FLIPPING INSANE.
sigh.
i have homework.
peace out.
love, hannah.

Hello Insomnia
hi
sometimes i'm so tired that i can't sleep.
weird, i know xD
so to pass time i've been looking at pictures on the *magical* website.
I've made a story with the picture... :)
Once upon a time there was a fort...
inside of the deep and magical forest.
there was also a magical big top tent where a traveling circus performed for all the fairies and unicorns and other creatures of the forest.
The only rule the circus performers had was that they had to eat heart shaped cereal, so they knew how to love.
this is matilda, the unicorn.
one day this whale swam to the circus and saw matilda. they got married. and had little unicorn and whale babies.
love, hannah

Hair Cut!! :D
Yesterday I got a hair cut. On the body part of my hair I just got it trimmed but with my bangs I got *almost* front bangs. They are so AWESOME :D The only not so good part about it is that my hair always got in my eyes today and my cheeks were BURNING from the constant hair on my face. Oh well... at least I looked cute xD
oh! and I found some absolutely FANTASTICAL music!
"Boy Lilikoi" By: Jonsi is amazing, it reminds me of fairies flying around my room (:
"Coin Laundry" By: Lisa Mitchell is fabulous ;D ha ha, she's so cute. (She's British! <3) Her house thing in her washing machine is in my dreams, I swear.
Also, "Perfectly Perfect" By: Elizabeth & the Catapult is swell as well :P The doll kind of creeps me out but it is a sweeeet song :D
That is all for now.
Love, Hannah

Tornado Warnings, Music, and Novels.
Gaa, it has been a HECTIC two weeks. Let's see what has happened...
Well, anywhoo..
Today there was a "severe tornado warning" or such so color guard was canceled :D I was able to read my book, Room by: Emma Donoghue, ALL AFTERNOON! This book was amazing! I don't want to spoil anything about it, but it was extremely good.
I also came across some VERY good music the past two days. The bands; Noah and the Whale, Paul Baribeau, and some others have made me fall in LOVE. I recommend listening to the song "5 Years Time" by: Noah and the Whale, it makes my ears hap-hap-happy. :D
I've been preparing for a violin "competition" next week, but really it's just playing for a judge and they give you a score, so it's not really one. HA. So I'll keep you intouch with how that goes xD
Sorry this was such a long post, I had so much to talk about! :P

P.S. I'll try to post more regularly (:
- I had my sister's fourth birthday party about two weeks ago.
- Exams this past week. Ewwy -.-
- Four hour orchestra rehearsal...
- and two shows for color guard this weekend, with a competition Friday..
Well, anywhoo..

Japanese Musicians
howdy! (:
So, this week my school has been hosting a japanese band. They are absolutely PHENOMENAL! When they play.. it's as if my heart sings ;D haha. But seriously, they are amazing. I'll post a video of them if I can. Well anywho, my orchestra teacher and I were talking about what makes Asians (sorry, that was really stereotypical...) better at things basically than Americans. Apparently, the parenting techniques the Asian culture uses is WAY different than American parenting techniques. I'll post a link to the article.. It was really interesting. I think the parents even called the kids garbage once or twice :/
I'm going to go practice my violin so I can get as good as the Japanese kids :D
P.S. This is the link here. (:
Enjoy!

Hi, I'm Hannah (:
It's nice to meet you. This blog is going to be filled with tidbits from my everyday life, music, and much more. I'll try to be as non-boring as I can ;) , so while I figure this whole blogging thing out- hang in there please.
For anyone who is reading this- comment something something about yourself,
a random fact, your favorite color, band, your shoe size?! anything! xD
Oh and for any of you wondering,
a random fact about me is that I've been playing violin since I was four, my favorite color is either pink, blue or red, my favorite band is The Shins or The Wombats, I like indie music :D and my shoe size is a seven and a half, but my left foot is bigger than the right.
Peace!
